Tasty Halloween Crafts Using Stencils For Cookie Decorating

Here's a Halloween-Crafts project that is fun, not only is it good to eat. You can see how a template designer, I am always looking for new and creative ways to use stencils. And, as a person can eat (especially sweets) loves it seemed only natural to find a way to use stencils with food, right? So I pulled some scary Halloween masks (a witch, a ghost, a cat, a bat, a skull and a spider) and went to work to find out how the pictures got on aCookie.

Well, I told you how much I love food, but now I have to admit that I'm no Betty Crocker. I can not tell you how many different ways I tried to convey a perfect image from a stencil onto a cookie. I bet my husband and I each gained 20 pounds eating all disasters. Not to mention all the money that I deliver at the grocery store and the local crafts house arrest spent. All this only to find out that was the easiest, cheapest and most obvious way is the best method of all. So,Here it is - that is, how to decorate Halloween cookies with stencils. Oh yeah! Do not miss out on the hints and tips that I have in the end for some great creative ideas.

Well, first you have to find a few designs that fit the template for the cookies. There are many printable Halloween stencils on the Internet. It is best a template that a single overlay design (which means it is ready with only a sheet or layer, locate). Here are some designer made templates forCookies, they are the right size and proportion. Once you found the templates for you all you have to do to print appeal. If it is not the right size to fit on a cookie just resize it to copiers and follow these next steps.

Prepare your "color" by adding water to powdered sugar. You want to get a thick consistency, which is very smooth. It does not take very much water. The mixture should not easily drip off the end of a spoon. Make colors, adding food coloring. For black, red mix, blue and green in the same number of drops.

Place the template on theCookie. Use one finger to the sugar mixture into the stencil openings DAB. As is funded with a regular stencil, use a dabbing or up and down movement to the surface color and dot with no rubbing back and forth, what color seeping under the stencil edges. In stenciling, you should always use a little color, so it does not seep under the stencil does not. There is no difference.
